CheckIt
CheckIt is an extension that adds file hash generation and comparison tools to Firefox. It supports MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384 and SHA-512, which are detected automatically.

The addon froze Firefox for a time and then, rather than crashing or returning some type of error, reported (INCORRECTLY!) a non-matching checksum. (Select the hash and then right-click on it, as before?) Using the toolbar icon, I guess I have to first copy the hash to the Clipboard and then use the menu item "Compare file with Clipboard" […]Paul

But I wish that I still had an option to have CheckIt on the right-click context menu, in the latest version. I much prefer to use that, instead of a toolbar button. […]Paul
